William IV rosewood stool with flame stitch needlework seat


A good quality early 18th Century rosewood stool of stylised lotus leaf design with new needlework seat . The hand worked flame stitch wool was done about 40 years ago , but never used ! The original was well worn and needed replacement , and this piece fitted perfectly .


Condition
The rosewood was looking rather dull and faded when we bought it , and has now been cleaned and re-polished by our in-house restorer who was trained to do antique pieces . As with all antique pieces you must expect to see some minor signs of wear if inspected closely .
