VINTAGE PHOTOGRAPHY


An impactful and extremely decorative piece, depicting a young man in a boxing stance with boxing gloves and boots, with an almost abstract naturalistic background.


Dating from the 1920s/1930s period and originating from France.


Indistinctly signed in pencil by the photographer to the lower left, possibly ‘C. Leur’ or ‘Cleur’


As is typical of photography portraits of the time, the photographic print has been highlighted by hand in white, and the shadows enhanced with pencil.


Framed and glazed in its original carved wooden frame with a highly decorative and complementary red velvet type felted mount with gilt edging.


The photograph is in good vintage order with some minor wear commensurate with age.
