American Mid Century Low Table

‘Lion in Frost’ was one of six original high-end American furniture makers working in Lucite. They were based in Miami in the 1970s and 80s and are well renowned for their monumental designs.

This is a hand-signed piece rather than a stamped example which denotes that it was an early piece of theirs dating from the 1970s.

Two chunky lucite sections interlock to form a cross shape underneath an extremely thick chunk of triangular glass.

It is in very good vintage condition. Apart from the scuffs and surface scratches you would expect from use the only thing I would point out is a chip to the underside edge of one of the triangular corners of the glass.

Measuring 180cm wide (the longest side of the traingle) x 98cm deep x 38cm high.
