https://www.decorativecollective.com/dealers/renarasGin no ame. Silver rain on a still surface. A scrolling karakusa vine drawn entirely in silver on silver, the pattern emerging only as a faint shadow under light.
The silk is pale platinum silver-white, smooth and high-lustre, with the brushed quality of cold metal. Across the entire body, a large karakusa arabesque vine and stylised floral medallions are woven in silver against silver — the pattern dense, but the contrast so low that it surfaces only when the cloth turns to the light. Soft dove grey, faint cream, and a thin warm gold at the binding give the silver its tonal floor. The effect is closer to weather than to ornament.
A bag for the cleanest evenings — a black silk dress, a winter restaurant with white tablecloths, a city where the rain is welcome.
The silk is the original obi face, designed and finished into a knot bag at the Renaras atelier. Knotted self-closure, silk lining. No metal touches the silk. No clasp, no hardware, no zip.
