Sensu. Suehiro — the widening of fortune. The Japanese folding fan — symbol of the widening of prosperity into an abundant future — opening here across textured gold silk.


Against a shimmering textured gold silk ground, sensu folding fans unfurl in cascading formation, each one a vessel for sakura cherry blossoms and kiku chrysanthemums in delicate violet, vermilion and powder blue, bound with ceremonial decorative cords. The gold gives the composition its luminance. The opening fans give it its fortune.


A pillow for ivory, cream, warm linen — and against charcoal or deep indigo, an anchor for the room. Quiet beauty for ordinary moments, gathered around a shared table.


Seamless envelope closure. No metal touches the visible silk.

Each piece arrives with its own passport from the atelier — a small handmade record of the silk's first life and its transformation, signed and dated in Amsterdam.

Delivery and returns
Dispatched from the Renaras atelier in Amsterdam within two working days, wrapped in tissue and sent in a rigid protective box. United Kingdom: £14, tracked and insured, arriving within three to five working days. All customs charges for United Kingdom deliveries are settled by the atelier; nothing further is payable on arrival. European Union: delivery included, three to five working days. Worldwide delivery on request. Returns are accepted within fourteen days of receipt in original condition; as every textile is singular and unrepeatable, we ask that pieces are handled with care.
