https://www.decorativecollective.com/dealers/renarasHisui. The jade of imperial fortune. The colour most revered in East Asian cultures as the embodiment of virtue, longevity and imperial authority — woven here in silk and heavy gold.
The ground is dyed in hisui-iro deep celadon. Against it, symmetrical karakusa arabesque motifs and geometric mandala compositions are woven in heavy kinran gold thread — wound around a silk core to produce a thread with depth and a lustre that catches candlelight from every angle. At the mandala intersections, the gold thread is densest, creating a raised tactile surface that reads as almost three-dimensional under raking light. The runner is reversible — a second complete silk surface on the reverse. The jade gives the composition its calm. The gold gives it its warmth.
A runner that turns the daily table into something a little finer — quiet beauty for ordinary moments, gathered around a shared meal.
Reversible silk construction. No metal touches the visible silk.
