A pair of hand-blown tumblers by Seiichiro Inamine (稲嶺盛一郎) of Ryukyu Glass Workshop Kizuna, Okinawa — son of Seikichi Inamine, the pioneer of Okinawan foam glass. Blown from recycled bottles in the family's awa technique, the glass grades from soft amethyst to clear, the lower half crusted with trapped bubbles and threaded with aubergine and blue. Applied darker rim; maker's seal to each base.


Acquired directly from the artist's studio in Yonabaru, Okinawa. Weighty in the hand and entirely handmade — small asymmetries between the pair are part of the making.


For cold drinks only; the glass is not heat-resistant. Hand wash recommended.

Dispatched from the Renaras atelier in Amsterdam within two working days, each piece cushioned and double-boxed for safe transit. United Kingdom: £14, tracked and insured, arriving within three to five working days. All customs charges for United Kingdom deliveries are settled by the atelier; nothing further is payable on arrival. European Union: delivery included, three to five working days. Worldwide delivery on request. Returns are accepted within fourteen days of receipt in original condition; we ask that every piece is handled with care.
