A fabulous antique horse cover, woven on the Tibetan plains in the early 20th Century. The design features a single large flower on an unusual gold field surrounded by a distinctive red border. This rug would have been used to decorate a horse for special occasions
Size: 1.24m x 0.67m (4ft 1in x 2ft 2in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear, very slightly heavier on the edge of the fabric cover (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
