An 18th-century French carved wooden candlestick, converted into a table lamp. The stepped base and moulded shaft are characteristic of provincial ecclesiastical candlesticks, while the natural patina of the wood adds warmth and depth. A distinctive lamp, with striking sculptural form and attractive finish.
