An early 20th-century French giltwood mirror in the Baroque style. The frame is boldly carved with scrolling acanthus leaves, the corners finished with arrows, the mirror plate surrounded by a frieze of circles and stylised foliage. The mirror plate and backing are original. Expressive yet regular carving is combined with a warm, patinated giltwood surface, adding a refined sense of texture.
