A 19th century French brass repoussé mirror in the Flemish style, mounted on an ebonised wood backing. The central plate is surrounded by four bevelled margin mirrors in a cushion shape, all enclosed within ornate brass friezes of floral motifs, with raised floral ornaments accenting each corner.


The mirror is topped by a decorative crest featuring scrolls, foliage, and a central seashell motif—lending a graceful flourish to the design. Cleverly, the front panel opens to reveal a hidden ebonised compartment, adding an unexpected element of function to its decorative appeal.
