Two columns flank the plate, surmounted by a pediment decorated with a rosette and laurel sprigs. The combination of green and gilding highlights the restrained geometry, characteristic of the Empire style. The mirror plate and backing are original, with strong, attractive foxing. An elegant mirror of versatile medium size, combining soft colour with architectural presence.
