An early 19th-century French gilt gesso mirror with a rectangular frame featuring a rounded moulding, decorated with elegant fluted bands and draped corners. The bevelled mirror plate shows attractive light foxing and is surrounded by a vibrant leaf-and-dart frieze. Likely a frame later adapted as a mirror, its gilt surface showcases a warm patina. A refined mirror with a restrained rectangular shape and with graceful classical decoration
