Of understated rectangular form, the mirror plate is framed by an elegant beaded frieze, lending the piece a clear architectural quality. The original mercury mirror plate displays authentic foxing, adding depth and character.


The gilt surface showcases a warm patina, with areas of red bole subtly visible beneath the gilding. Of versatile medium size, this refined mirror combines an elegant form with an expressive, softly worn surface.
