An 18th-century French faience jardinière from La Rochelle, with an octagonal basin raised on feet and flanked by two large sculptural handles. It is decorated in vibrant blues and oranges, featuring a bright frieze of floral and foliate motifs, and an array of geometric patterns. The interior of the basin is adorned with a large spray of flowers. A characterful and striking piece, distinguished by its sculptural form and vivid decoration.
