An early 19th-century French faience plate from Nevers, decorated with a charming scene of a yellow fox lookig at black grapes growing on a trellis, inspired by Aesop’s fable of the Fox and the Grapes. The lip features a scalloped frieze with delicate strokes, while the edge is elegantly shaped.
