Item Details

An Abstract acrylic on canvas by French Riviera Artist Georges Ferrato b.1949. Titled; Sommiéres Avril to the reverse and dated 1996. Multiple layers of applied paint create an almost plaster render appearance which is then reverse gouged to form abstract shapes which are reminiscent of the geometric textiles of the African Senufo people. The Artist's understanding of colour and his distinct approach to Abstractionism during the 1990s creates very captivating work. Monogram signature to the front and reverse.
