A wonderful example of an early 19th century sofa, often referred to as a scroll-arm chaise. The high, scrolled arms and gentle camelback backrest are typical of Regency or early Victorian design, from 1820-1840. Sitting on turned ebonised legs made from mahogany with original brass castors. This is an English design, often used in bedrooms.


Re-upholstered in a hessian, we can happily arrange for it to be covered in a fabric of your choice. The original striped backrest has been left as we found it.
