Item Details

A “Mosquito” table by Dutch industrial designer Wim Rietveld (1924-1985) for Gispen, C1950.   Constructed using tubular and moulded sheet metal topped by glass, giving a light, angular structure, with a delicate, almost insect-like profile.  This example features a red metal centre with a gently worn surface, adding character and contrast to the otherwise minimal form.  In good vintage condition.
