AP0316 A superb quality, antique George IV Mahogany bedside cupboard, having a three quarter gallery to the top with a very attractive figured grain above figured cupboard door fitted with a turned knob and figured mahogany sides and back. All raised on turned and reeded tapered legs. This antique night stand is polished to each side enabling free standing. The bedside cabinet retains its original finish which has been cleaned and waxed, original mellow colour, good patina and antique character. This antique bedside table has been sympathetically cleaned and is in good condition, ready to place at home. No cracks or breaks to legs, no splits to sides, door or the top. Signed by the maker, most likely Gillows. c1830

This bedside cabinet is signed by the maker which we believe was one of the cabinet makers for Gillows of Lancaster.
We are in the process of quantifying the signature - please see photos.
The identical design leg is featured in Gillows of Lancaster and London 1730-1840 books by Susan E. Stuart.
