P0277 Exhibition quality English Victorian, 19th century solid oak mirror of monumental proportions, having foliage carved cavetto cornice with decorative carved bell shaped finials above acanthus leaf carved frieze and egg and dart carved inner edge enclosing original glass with some foxing, all flanked by substantial fluted columns with leaf capitals to the top and floral motifs to the bottom all with fine quality scrolls. This antique mirror is in original condition throughout, it retains its original glass, original finish which has been cleaned and waxed, original deep rich colour with soft patina and original panelled backboards. It can be positioned on the mantel piece or floor. Overmantel or a leaner mirror. The mirror is solid, sturdy, woodworm free. No loose or missing elements. A true statement piece which would grace any interior. c1880
