On our last buying trip to France we met Sylvia by chance and got talking about her interest in antiques and the fact she was an artist. We looked at her work and I fell in love with it immediately. She works with acrylic paint mixed with gesso and paints onto board giving her artwork a wonderful thickness and texture.


This is a bold, classic painting of a nude female. Great depth of colour with the absolute black of the background. Subtle highlights as well. This is a beautiful piece of modern art that would sit well almost anywhere.
