Item Details

Substantial and well preserved large wall canvas by Jacques Brivot (1936-2024) dated 1955 in the bottom right hand corner.

We believe the composition depicts the painting studio of the acclaimed French painter Maurice Brianchon given the inscription on the reverse, "Jacques Brivot, L 'Atelier, Beaux Arts, Atelier Brianchon".

The canvas has two wooden strips at each end and measures approximately 4 meters wide by 2 meters high.

There is wear evident, mainly across the top and bottom, and some paint losses, but this remains in good condition.
