Large 18th Century Naive Swedish Bonad, depicting the story from the New Testament Matthew Chapter 15, Verse 27. "For even the dogs feed on the crumbs that fall from their masters table" Naive Painted Bonad on thick Canvas, most likely used as decorative wall hangings in rural Swedish Houses. This example is very large and in expected condition with several repairs and restorations, with minor paint losses. For preservation and presenting purposes this has been sensitively stitched to linen which in turn has been fixed to a large bespoke made stretcher. The could be removed if required or also framed as is if required. Sweden Circa 1780
