Collection of 3 Italian 19th Century Marionettes

A fantastic set of 3 19th Century hand crafted marionette puppets. All with original cotton, silk and valour clothing intact, hand carved pine articulated sections and painted detail. One of the figures even has lead weights in its eyes so when it’s laid back the eyes close. A brilliant set that shows lots of natural aging and use.

Completely solid in structure and form, naturally faded across all their surfaces, flacked / loss of paint, aged repairs and dulling of colour as shown. The puppets cloths are aged and worn with missing detail and torn sections as shown. With aged repairs in sections on the boots. These are authentic antique examples, so please expect an item which is over 100 years old. They do not stand alone as pictured.
