A Colossal Early 20th Century Hand Carved Pine Golden Eagle Sign
Objects of this natural do not come to market that often, we luckily uncovered this example from a private collection in London earlier this month. This huge golden eagle has a wing span of 76 inches and is carved from section pieces of thick pine with hand painted detail. Likely to have had something attached/looped through its talons at one point. The reverse shows its original cast iron hanging hooks and supports, which are firmly in place. We assume this huge golden eagle was used for signage of sorts in the early part of the 20th century.

A well aged item that has stood the test of time, considering this items age it’s in very good condition to say the least (which makes its rare). Without loss of wooden detail but the paint is well worn and missing (faded) in sections as shown.
