This example dates from the early 20th century and was produced for sale through Liberty & Co. of London. Influenced by Japanese design, it features finely hand-carved detailing that showcases the craftsmanship of the period. The number 1671, carved into the base, identifies this highly decorative yet functional piece of furniture.
