Early 20th Century Liberty & Co Carved Japanese Settle
This example dates from the early 20th century and was produced for sale through Liberty & Co. of London. Influenced by Japanese design, it features finely hand-carved detailing that showcases the craftsmanship of the period, identifies this highly decorative yet functional piece of furniture.

Condition Report
In overall presentable condition without, the settle is still functional to sit on. Wear and fading to the wooden surface with some missing stained areas as shown. The right base sections are slightly warped due to age and the wood drying out over time. No missing sections on the wood. With a natural crackling of the ebonised surface due to age.
