A unasuming blue & white cardboard pharmacy container, housing mummy powder "mumia vera" believed to be a miracle cure during the 18th & 19th century
Obviously this is exactly what it says on the tin so you would believe, remains of authentic mummies where in shortage around the late 18th early 19th century and resulted in fakes due to its value, pharmacys used the remains of dried human bodies, fibres from bandages, wrappings and embalming material to for fill the demand.
A very interesting item never the less. late 19th century in age, French in origins.
