Item Description
A victorian collection of cock fighting spurs & memorabilia, the mahogany felt lined case holds four pairs of spurs, along with some muffs, antler steel saw for trimming, odd sections of leather and some loose spurs.
The case and its contents used to belong to William Jackson of Dallow Yorkshire, the collection was given to his younger trainer Will Thompson who is pictured in one of the photos with a cock. The two other photos show Will Jackson and also a cock fighting ring in a field.
The case has its original key with a bone scutcheon, overall everything is in very good original condition, age related wear knocks and marks to the woodwork, all leather section dry but not brittle.
