An excellentset of nine early Victorian, large scale, lens cut Ale glasses, Circa 1865.Outstanding quality, these substantially weighted tall glasses are versatile enough to work for Beer, as wine or water goblets or as very generous champagne flutes. Max capacity 335ml. These are hand blown glasses from the 19th Century, with snapped and polished pontils, baluster knop stems and hand cut lens shapped circles on the bowl. The glass is robustly thicker, since originally ale glasses. Still perfectly usable over 150 years after they were crafted they are statements for the dining table.
