An excellent Art Deco era French silver plated 'Parisienne' shaped two-piece cocktail shaker, Circa 1920, with makers mark for Mailhan & Mailhan, Paris. This shape is sometimes called The Barman's cocktail shaker because top hotel barman preferred the easy two-piece and break apart method of cocktail making.Mailhan & Mailhan was a French silversmith and manufacturer based in Paris, active from 1883, known for producing high-quality silver-plated items in competition with Christofle. They are particularly noted for producing silver-plated barware and tableware, including cocktail shakers, but ceased trading in the early 20th Century.
