Item Description
An excellent quality original Art Deco English silver plated and glass cocktail mixing jug by James Dixon, Sheffield, Circa 1930 with matching Bonzer silver plated spoon. This unique Martini jug has a cockerel etched to the glass base and a removable silver plated pouring lid with barley twist stirring stick.
Unusually, James Dixon chose to put his hallmark on the underside of the pouring spout (see images). This smart piece of vintage barware is stamped to say it holds 1.5 pints of liquid, so a good large size. In excellent condition with no wear to the silver which is rare with age and use.
James Dixon was one of the great English silversmiths of the 19th and early 20th Centuries, renowned for creating good quality barware.
