An excellent set of 12 oval Edwardianold Maritime silver plated individual serving plates by The Alexander Clark Company for the Atlantic Transport Lineships, Circa 1910/20s.

This fabulously historic set was used in the golden era of transatlantic liner travel to serve 1st Class passengers.Crafted by The Alexander Clark Ltd silver makers, they were made to be robust enough to withstand constant use back and forth across the Atlantic before the onset of World War Il, during which many of these beautiful ocean liners were tragically converted into armed cruisers and sunk. Wonderfully patinated and worn, but still retaining bright silver plating.
