A truly outstanding matched pair of early 20th Century, large scale, silver plated, twin handled serving tray, each with makers mark for renowned English silversmiths Walker & Hall, One tray is dated 1915 and the other is dated 1920.A close match, both trays have Gadrooned rimsand handles with foliate centres. Both trays are in incredibly good original condition.Walker & Hall was one of the excellent English silversmiths of the 19th Century, established in Sheffield in 1845. They enjoyed an enviable reputation in the hey-day of English silversmithing but eventually, in 1963, they were incorporated into Mappin & Webb continuing today as the brandMappin & Webb.
