A rare find! An excellent quality and unusual, tall Victorian silver plated and etched glass claret wine jug, Circa 1880s, with resplendent lion holding a shield finial and beautifully scrolled handle. This extraordinary wine decanter has been skilfully hand crafted with a waisted collar which flares to a wide silver plated mount with acorn and leaves pouring spout. The body of the decanter has been engraved with a neoclassical design and the flared base has line cuts to the base. This is a fine addition to the dining table.
