An exceptional 16-piece set of authentic mid-20th Century Madeira hand-embroidered table linens, featuring eight placemats and eight matching napkins.


This set is defined by its daffodils floral motif executed in pastel pink shadow-work embroidery against crisp white linen.


The design features curved, fan-shaped borders with meticulous hand-cutwork and dense, hand-stitched scalloped buttonhole edges. Sheer organdy inserts within the floral panels provide a sophisticated translucent contrast when placed against dark wood or coloured table surfaces. Each matching square napkin features a coordinated, scaled-down replica of the daffodil motif in one corner.
