A lovely French Mid-century Tiki Bar Set. Circa 1950s–60s sourced in Paris. The L-shaped bar is clad in closely spaced bamboo/cane with rounded corners and a raised bamboo rail fixed with brass brackets. To the working side are storage compartments including open side shelves. The internal shelves are lined with printed paper. The pair of tall stools echo the bar with stained bamboo legs, arched stretchers bound with rattan, and square rush-woven seats in a tight, X-centred pattern. Warm honey-brown tones and lively caning give strong mid-century coastal/tropical character. Ideal for a home bar, garden room, conservatory or small hospitality setting. Best used indoors or under cover outdoors. Condition - Good overall, sturdy and ready to place with attractive age-related patina to bamboo and bindings. - Paper lining on the shelves shows areas of bubbling and wear. - Expected surface marks, minor scuffs and colour variation to bamboo. Rush seats are in very good condition. Approximate dimensions (bar): W 125 cm x D 86 cm x H 101 cm. Bar top depth 37cm. Stools 80cm high and the seats are 28cm square. Sold as a set: bar and two stools.
