A beautifully executed oil on canvas capturing a tranquil sunset along a riverbank. A mother and child pause in the foreground, while a distant building crowns a cliff, lending a sense of narrative and depth.


The composition is well balanced, with luminous skies and gracefully rendered trees that draw the viewer into this timeless landscape. 


Suitably framed in a gilt Florentine style frame and signed lower right.


The painting has been professionally cleaned and restored, with stable surface craquelure.
