https://www.decorativecollective.com/dealers/tinker-toadCharacterful set of four machinist stools, likely late Victorian to early 20th century (circa 1900). Each stool has a heavy cast‑iron base with circular piercings and splayed foot plates, paired with a saddle‑shaped timber seat that appears to be pitch pine. The seats show attractive grain, tool marks and fixing bolts, with natural variation in tone across the set. The castings have a pleasing industrial profile and retain an aged, darkened surface with areas of old oxidation. The timber tops show wear and colour differences from long service, the sort of honest patina that gives early workshop furniture its appeal. Strong and serviceable. Dimensions (each approx.): H 45 cm x W 32 cm x D 37 cm. Condition: Good, sound condition for age. Surfaces show knocks, scratches, old marks and colour variation to the timber.
