Item Description
This is a pair of outstanding and extremely rare Italian Baroque candelabras that date from the 18th century. They are masterfully hand carved from wood and gilded with a magnificent timeworn patina created by the passage of time. Each one can hold five candles and measures about 28 x 80 x 10.5 cm or approximately 11 x 31.4 x 4 inches. Their elongated and extremely elegant form with curly acanthus design is truly exquisite. These are large treasures for grand interiors. They are exactly as I discovered them recently in Italy with signs of ageing that in my opinion only brings forth their true beauty and splendour today.
