This is an outstanding antique Italian Sacred Heart that dates from the early 18th century or earlier. It originates from Florence where it was discovered recently. This is a remarkable example of intricate and ancient silver work depicting a flaming heart surrounded by glorious angels and flower garlands. Above the heart is a chalice with a crown and a halo. This breathtakingly beautiful and a truly magnificent treasure has been created masterfully from silver that is placed on a red velvet background and mounted on a wood panel that measures about 47.5 x 33 x 2 cm or approximately 18.7 x 13 x 0.7 inches. Considering its impressive age of 300 years [or more] it is in lovely antique condition with some signs of ageing that in my opinion only brings forth its true beauty and splendour today. It could be hanged on a wall directly or framed if desired. For the full condition please refer to the images!
