This is an exquisite and extremely rare antique Italian sculpture that was discovered recently in Verona. Created with a great artistic quality and craftsmanship it represents the head of Venus, the Roman goddess of love, beauty and prosperity that has inspired artists through centuries. The head is mounted on a stunning block of marble which allows an easy display of this magnificent work of art. The patina on the bronze is truly outstanding in the shades of dark green. The sculpture measures about 43 x 20 x 28 cm or approximately 17 x 8 x 11 inches and it is in lovely antique condition with minor signs of ageing and exactly as I discovered it.
