Item Description
This is a breathtakingly beautiful painting of an angel that was just discovered in Florence. It is a framed anonymous oil on canvas painting of an archangel that is truly outstanding in its quality and presence. Painted in the Renaissance style and dating most probably from the later part of the 18th century this magnificent work of art is remarkable in its serenity and peace that radiates from within. The painting is in its original and quite spectacular gilded wooden frame with exceptional patina that measures about 50.3 x 46.6 x 5.3 cm or approximately 19.8 x 18.3 x 2 inches. The painting itself is on a wooden stretcher measuring 29 x 25.5 cm or about 11.4 x 10 inches and in lovely antique condition considering its age. This is a rare treasure of outstanding splendour that would look just marvellous in any interior, classical and contemporary. It is exactly as I discovered it.
