This is an absolutely precious pair of antique Italian angels that dates from the 16th century. This is one of the most ancient treasures that I have discovered to date. The angels are hand carved from wood in kneeling positions with their hands extended and wings open. Their faces are gentle and cute. The angels are partially gilded. Through their remarkable existence of five centuries they gained a wonderful timeworn patina that in my opinion only enhances their true unique beauty and splendour today, museums pieces one may say.
