Item Details

A hand-forged old English Georgian style side gate, dating from circa 1850. Finished with an even surface rust, this antique garden gate takes inspiration from earlier Georgian strapwork designs, with tighter wrought iron panels resembling a castle portcullis. An unusual, unique reclaimed pedestrian gate for gardens of any age or style.

CONDITION REPORT


Good, sturdy structural condition. Surface rust finish. Minor distortion in places. Some corrosion to channels on either end. Small holes to outside of channel to the left. Fitted with new hinge eyes and new latch. Supplied with new hinge components for hanging.
