A large antique Carrara marble sundial plate with a bronze gnomon, dating from the mid 19th century.


This octagonal sundial plate is a beautiful, aged addition to an English country style garden, looking handsome placed atop a low wall or alongside an old, weathered pedestal.


It features an original elegantly shaped scrolling gnomon to the centre, with an engraved dial hand partially veiled by time.


CONDITION REPORT


Good structural condition. Couple of chips to the perimeter. There are several small surface cracks radiating out from a fixing. No visible breaks or repairs. No movement, stable and historic.
