A monumental antique 19th century stained glass crucifixion window depicting Jesus on the cross below the Latin inscription ‘INRI’. This impressive religious stained glass window comprises of 6 individual glass panels, together creating a huge window in the shape of a cross which was likely once situated in an English church or similar religious building.


Certain to make a statement in any setting with its sheer scale and size, this reclaimed stained glass cross window is a stunning example of late 19th century glasswork, using a range of coloured and handpainted glass to artistically retell this bible scripture central to Christian belief.

CONDITION REPORT


Good structural condition. Unsigned. Transports as 6 pieces, all fitted into temporary pine frames. Top panel bearing 'INRI': conservation repair to text. Left arm panel: conservation repair to lower blue foliate glass. Face panel: small crack to yellow glass in top left. Right arm panel: conservation repair to lower blue glass below hand. Feet panel: conservation repair to left blue glass and another in border to side of right leg. Legs panel: good condition, no visible issues.
