Item Details

An original Victorian era Gothic Revival sandstone fire surround circa 1880, with ornate column-style jambs, decorative foliate spandrels and a dramatic arched fireplace opening with carved bust to the top.

Sourced from a property in the North of England, this antique York stone fireplace has stood the test of time, its carved details still intact and well-defined after more than 140 years. It is in original condition with light historic wear that only enhances its unique story.

With its substantial construction and deep-set design, this 19th century fireplace is instilled with an air of grandeur reminiscent of a chimneypiece from an ancient English castle, where royalty would have graced its halls!
