Quality Antique 18th century mahogany longcase clock, having a quality antique 18th century longcase clock, a quality mahogany case with a rectangular door to the front opening to reveal the original pendulum, the mahogany hood finished with three brass finales standing on shaped feet. Having a painted arched dial decorated with floral & fruit decoration, to the centre of the dial a painted bird on a branch within a circular medallion, the dial signed 'James Christle, Stockport' surrounded by Arabic numbers with a separate outer track for the minutes with the original hands housing an eight day movement striking the hour and half hour with the original pendulum, weights and key. All clocks get serviced by a horologist prior to delivery. D. 1800
